I had the pleasure of knowing Lord David through my best friend Tammy Daves granddaughter. I always remember Dave would be wearing a suit looking very smart where ever we went out with him, even if it was just to a little cafe somewhere the suit was on! We would have been shopping in town most weekends and would pop into Daves house for a drink and a chat. Dave would always be making us laugh and just being a grandad! Embarrassing Tammy, telling us funny stories, telling jokes, giving us packet after packet of crisps and tea! Always offering to cook something for us, generally something like kidney or liver! And always talking about dogs! A man after my own heart, I always remember how much Dave loved dogs and knew everyone's dog who lived locally. Taking us to visit some of them! It was always nice to pop to Daves with all his granddaughters because you could always see how much he loved them being round and how much he loved and cared for them!He will be sadly missed!
